What is narrative-based life coaching?
My coaching approach builds on system-based therapy approaches, such as narrative therapy, internal family systems (IFS), and somatic therapy. It is a unique blend that contextualizes what individuals have gone through and and views every thought and behavior as interconnected.
My approach differs from therapy in the sense that it focuses on transformation. Most clients feel more connected with themselves just after one session, and feel empowered to pursue their dreams after five sessions.
In short, it's about understanding the stories that have made you who you are today. Some of them are yours, and some of them might be chapters in the past that we still hold onto. Every part has a reason.
We work together to discover the stories that make you who you are, and the ones that help you move forward. In this process, we get clarity into your internal patterns, gently put space between you and your inner critic, and empower you to act in accordance with your values.
